Someone told me, over letters,

Passed back and forth,

Quick sent and quicker written,

That there must be a saint

Who watches out for fools and madmen

And fat orange cats who bite the hand that feeds them

That the small god who watches

Fools and madmen at work

Must love stupid orange cats

Who try to jump closed windows

To chase grey squirrels in the April morning
